The administrator site uses an Administrator Password Gateway, ensuring that only approved administrators have access to applicant information. This gateway is important for data security purposes, but it is also a very useful tool for structuring data access for hiring processes.
The most basic use of the gateway is to allow all approved users (those with the correct username and password) to have access to all the applicant data. The gateway can also be structured so that the data is “partitioned” and users only have access to a subset of the data, based on the username and password entered. For example, recruiters responsible for a region only view the data for applicants in that region or recruiters from one division only view their division’s applicant data. This technology allows an employer to keep their applicant data in one database, instead of separating the data to meet their data access needs. This provides a large cost-savings for the employer, due to the consolidation of data upkeep and storage costs.
The gateway can also be used to create “levels” of users with various access permissions. For example, a senior administrator can have access to all of the applicant data. The senior administrator may also have access to administrator functions, such as adding users, changing passwords, or changing the data partitioning structure.

For many of our customers, applicants must qualify in some way prior to completing the e-Selex web services; therefore, these customers do not want an individual to be able to \"browse\" to their site and apply. The Password Gateway is essential for this control of site access. Other customers want all interested applicants to have access to their site. Some examples are when the JobSelex employment application is a link off of their homepage or when the PreSelex is used to qualify candidates. These customers may opt to allow open access to the site and therefore not use the Password Gateway.

corewords[5] = "Our research indicates that most people do not complete an e-Selex service in one sitting. Most applicants exit from the system at least once during the session. It is also fairly common for applicants to get disconnected from the Internet while completing an online service.
For these reasons, the e-Selex systems include Disconnection Recovery. If a user exits or becomes disconnected while completing an instrument, the next time they enter the system, the user is returned to the page on which they exited or were disconnected. This occurs with little or no loss of data because our programs capture and write data to our databases every time the user clicks on a Next Page or Submit button. This feature minimizes applicant frustration and helps to maintain a positive impression of the hiring process.

Employers need to collect EEO demographic data for tracking applicant flow statistics, in order to effectively respond to the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) compliance requirements. However, if employers collect this information on applicants prior to the hiring decision, they are vulnerable to charges of employment discrimination.
As an independent, third party service, e-Selex can collect race/ethnicity, sex, and age data on individuals without putting you at risk. We provide EEO summary reporting for tracking applicant flow statistics and for calculating impact ratios. We do not provide any data that is connected to the identity of any individual. So, the employer receives the benefit of having this essential information without the liability that is otherwise associated with collecting it.
With e-Selex EEO Assurance, EEO data collection is a simple and accurate process. The EEO survey is available with all of our Internet applications. e-Selex provides the EEO survey data to your company in a standard report form on an ongoing basis. We can also provide data analyses and support for requests from the OFCCP and the EEOC.
