The newest e-Selex.com offering, WEBselex for Bank Staffing was recently validated on a sample of over 400 tellers at one of the nation’s leading financial institutions.

The results of this concurrent validation effort clearly demonstrate the predictive power of this survey against essential teller performance factors.

The concurrent validation data showed statistically significant validity coefficients (p < .001) for each of the five biodata predictor scales against their corresponding performance criteria, ranging from .170 to .317. The overall biodata predictor composite also showed statistically significant validity (r=.223, p > .001) against the overall performance rating item.

In addition, the follow-up validation study found very good validity (r=.194, p < .01) for the overall predictor composite against actual turnover for bank tellers. (Note: The validity coefficients presented are uncorrected.)

All this prediction power and no adverse impact! The impact ratios computed for all sex and minority groups of sufficient size were all well above the .80 rule of thumb used by the federal EEO enforcement agencies. As such, the validation study showed no evidence of adverse impact.
