WEBselex® for Industrial

WEBselex for Industrial is an applicant screening assessment designed specifically for jobs in industrial environments such as factory, manufacturing, construction and other skilled and unskilled labor jobs. The assessment consists of 65 multiple-choice work and education background questions, and takes only 25 minutes to complete. The assessment produces one predictor score for each of the five performance factors shown below, and one predictor score for overall performance, created through a combination of the five predictors.
Performance Factors
  1. Learning
    The willingness to learn new and broad technical skills, and to learn to use new tools and equipment through study and self-teaching.

  2. Dependability
    Conscientiousness with work hours, shift work, coping with working conditions, and avoiding absenteeism.

  3. Problem Solving
    The foresight to see problems, to see creative solutions, planning, thinking, and writing skills.

  4. Initiative
    The motivation for self and others to achieve goals, self-direction, and commitment to accomplishing the work.

  5. Teamwork
    Consideration, courtesy, and tolerance in dealing with others, agreeableness, and cooperation.

Each of the five predictors has been empirically developed and validated against specific, relevant criterion measures. Similarly, the overall performance predictor has been validated against measures of overall job performance for manufacturing personnel. When properly used, each predictor has the potential to improve average new-hire performance on relevant criterion measures by 30 to 40 percent.
